Don Giovanni - Opera Theatre Break

Don Giovanni – opera forms part of the Royal Opera House's Olympic programme, which will feature all three operas written by Mozart and librettist Lorenzo da Ponte.

Don Giovanni – opera follows the story of a serial seducer who is intent on further sexual conquests. Perused by his victims and their outraged relatives his luck eventually runs out when the statue of a man he murdered invites itself for dinner.

Gerald Finley and Erwin Schrott share the title role and this fantastic story is under the musical direction of conductor Constantinos Carydis. Mozart’s score is beautifully accompanied by duets and ensemble performances from a fantastic cast. The Irony and with add a dramatic yet serious undertone to the story of Don Giovanni as he loves, charms, lies and fights his way through life on his way to final retribution.
