Sister Act - Bristol Theatre Break

Embarking on its first UK tour Sister Act, Bristol is sure to be a huge hit. Following its hugely successful run in the West End Sister Act has gone on to show on Broadway, in Germany and will tour throughout the UK, America and Europe.

Based on the 1992 film of the same name, Sister act, Bristol is a feel good show for all the family. When lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder she immediately runs to tell the police. Fearful for her life Deloris is placed in protective custody somewhere that no one will look for her, a convent. Renamed as Sister Mary Clarence, Deloris takes her place among the nuns but is soon at heads with the strict Mother Superior as she struggles with her new regime. Forbidden from smoking, drinking or going out she turns to her love of music and joins the convents choir.

With new found friends Sister Mary Robert and Sister Mary Patrick they bring the choir from its traditional chorus to a sensational musical group. As the choir attracts people into the church, local news and photographers soon follow and Deloris cover is blown. Kidnapped from the convent the story takes a superb comedic twist as nuns and criminals are set in a battle to get to Deloris.

Sister Act, Bristol is brimming with a superb array of songs and comedic performances. Co-produced by Whoopi Goldberg the show has been seen by over a million people since it opened in the West End in 2009.

Sister Act may contain scenes that are unsuitable for children under the age of 8.
