London Theatre Breaks make a fantastic surprise for a special occasion.
Inspired by the socially exclusive Bullingdon Club made up of Oxford University students, whose previous members include David Cameron and Boris Johnson, Posh is set in an oak-panelled room in Oxford, where ten well-to-do young men are meeting, intent on restoring their right to rule. The members of an elite student dining society, the boys of ‘The Riot Club are bunkering down for a wild night of debauchery and decadence. But this isnt just a jolly: theyre planning a revolution. Written by Laura Wade, a graduate of the Royal Court Young Writers Programme, politically poignant Posh played to 100% capacity at the Royal Court and remains one of the highest-grossing shows ever to play in the theatre. Director Lyndsey Turners work at the Royal Court includes Contractions, A Miracle and Our Private Life. As part of the Royal Courts West End season, Posh will be playing at the Duke of Yorks Theatre from Friday 11th May 2012 to Saturday 4th August 2012. 'A good, old-fashioned piece of class war.' - Daily Telegraph 'Lively, funny and wickedly timely.' - The Times Please note: There will be no Matinee performances on Saturday 12th May and Wednesday 23rd May, and no Evening performance on Friday 27th July. Posh Theatre Breaks always includes tickets with hotel accommodation, and the number of tickets you request must be the same as the number of hotel guests. Classic London Theatre Breaks, great value and a great time.
