Henry V - Shakespeares Globe Theatre Break Package

London Theatre Breaks make a fantastic surprise for a special occasion.

"Once more unto the breach, dear friends..." After a successful tour of the UK, this summer sees Henry V return to Shakespeares Globe with a new production by Dominic Dromgoole. Featuring Jamie Parker, the former star of the Globes Henry IV Parts 1 & 2, this new production promises to be a memorable and thrilling experience for those planning a Henry V theatre break this summer.

Henry V is one of Shakespeares most iconic historic plays. The magnificent plot recalls the story of King Henry V of England and the dramatic events surrounding the Battle of Agincourt. The play is the final part of a series of historical plays, preceded by Richard II and Henry IV Parts 1 & 2.

In Henry V, the formerly wild, undisciplined Prince known as ‘Hal in the Henry IV plays has come of age to take on the challenge of the French conquest.

Since opening to the public in 1997 the reconstructed Elizabethan playhouse at Shakespeares Globe has staged plays during the summer months, giving visitors an authentic Shakespearian experience. The plays are performed with natural lighting during the day time, no microphones or stage effects and all music is performed live on period instruments.

During a Henry V theatre break at the Shakespeares Globe you will be transported back to the heyday of the playwrights illustrious career.

“Parker has graduated with conviction from his acclaimed turn as feckless roisterer Prince Hal in the Globes Henry IV parts 1 and 2” - Liverpool Echo
