Lusty, satirical and outrageously wicked, A Mad World My Masters returns to the stage in 2013 as part of the Royal Shakespeare Companys Summer Season. Written by Jacobean playwright Thomas Middleton, A Mad World My Masters was first performed in 1608. Sean Foleys new production transports the ‘city comedy to Soho, London in 1956. Guests on A Mad World My Masters theatre breaks will follow the tale of a penniless bachelor as he determines to fool his rich Uncle into funding his debaucherous deeds. Foleys A Mad World My Masters RSC production is the directors first with the Company, having previously worked on the West End productions of What the Butler Saw and The Ladykillers.
